Breaking creative block with a nap

It’s the scary ‘boogie man” with whom all creative people come in contact with on occasion.

He’s not that scary, however, if you have a plan to deal with him.

Among the many ways to have a breakthrough is to deal with him unconventionally. Take a nap.

Yes, a 20 or 30-minute nap (no longer, though!) which will help you to relax physically while (more importantly) your mind is able to clear away the clutter of life that is happening around you (and distracting you!)

There is a Cambridge study I heard about a few years ago that says a 20-minute nap will clear neural passageways in your mind enough that new connection will be able to be formed.

Previously unseen connections, one could argue, is the bedrock of humor, creativity, and art. Really brilliant art.
