For whom the tables turn

When you find yourself the hammer, be kind to all. When you find yourself the nail, suffer with grace.

The tables turn, and when they do, it happens fast.

When the tables turn in your favor, enlist humility and kindness as your closest friends.

When the tables turn against you, suffer well, and be ready to forgive.

Whenever I see this photo of a Jewish concentration camp victim now holding his former guard at gunpoint after WWII, it is a very visual reminder of that.

The tables have turned suddenly. The German guard could use goodwill equity with his former captives.

Never wonder for whom the tables will turn; they will turn for both you and me.
