I had a single green bean in my soup today

There it was, a green bean, floating on the surface of my chicken soup. Why was it there?

Did a factory worker not clean the machines, and my bowl of soup got a single, dirty green bean left behind?

Or maybe the machines are turned to put six green beans in each bowl of soup, and mine just missed out?

I looked at the can, and what I saw amazed me. Right there on the can I saw the name of the soup “Creamy Chicken Soup” and just below that was this line “with a single crunchy green bean.” I was amused and curious.

I assumed it had to be one of two things, but it turned out I had wrong information, and there was a third choice that I have ignored altogether. The soup was just perfect. I was operating incorrect information.

Often, when we blindly assume we’re right, we’re the wrongest.
