If you want it badly enough

You and I could do most things if we wanted to do it badly enough. That’s where the problem is. We trick ourselves into thinking we have done as much as we can and that we really, really want to do the thing when the reality is that we find ways to give ourselves an “out.”

One of the best things I’ve heard in the past few years is the “40% rule” from David Goggins: When you think you’ve given it your all, you’re only 40% done.

The rule for most things is that if you really, actually want it bad enough, you can make the change and make it happen.
