The system doesn’t want you to daydream. The system wants you to get in line when and where you’re told. The system beats originality and creativity out of us the moment we begin to express it. The system acts like a wild haircut, a tattoo, or buying trendy things promoted by the latest vapid reality TV show are you expressing yourself imaginatively.
Among the hustle, bustle, rattle, and din of modernity, your ability to daydream, think, and mediate has been smashed. All in the name of self-enlightened, pseudo-intellectual pursuits. The ones who think differently are the stupid ones. Anyone who doesn’t conform with us is distressingly crazy.
Somehow we always think it’s the other person, and rarely do we question our perceptions and discernment, both of which have been cast by the modern world.
I have despised the system since I was a child because the system demands docility, refuses questioning, and leaves no room for daydreaming.
