I’m pretty bad at social media. I think about all the ways I can use it and share the things that I’m doing, but I never take the time to create the content for social media.
If you create things and do work for a living (most of us) you have something you can share. Every day. You can look back over your work that day and share a couple of thoughts, a behind the scenes photo, a piece of artwork or sketches, or something that didn’t quite "make the cut".
Sharing things like this has a few positive benefits:
1. You keep a record of what you’re getting done (fun to look back on).
2. You focus on getting things done that day so you have more valuable things to share when you do post your content on social media.
3. You have a portfolio-of sorts-that is up to date every single day.
4. You get better/faster at writing and sharing.
5. You inspire others.
If you were to choose one social media platform, could you write, or tweet, or share a photo, or share a short story, or share a small video every day?
