It’s not usually about telling someone what to do. Telling helps, but telling it without selling it is cold and harsh. And if you don't even buy what you're selling, that rings hollow. (viz., practice what you preach.)
Sure you can preach, but can you teach? Can you practice what you preach and what you teach?
Instead of complaining that people don’t take our advice or listen to us, what would happen if we could be more kind as we teach and if we lead by example for everyone around us?
