In Austin Kleon's book "Show You Work!" he talks about the "So What?" test. The key question you should ask yourself before publishing your artwork, writing, photography, or anything you contribute to the world.
Do you care about the work? Does anyone around you care? Run the test and ask some people.
If you don't care, wait a day or two and pull it out and look at it again and see if you care. Ask yourself if the work is worthwhile, useful, entertaining, or valuable to others.
Are you doing good work or just stuff to fill some space? Does your work have an impact or is it the fodder that makes you feel like you're getting something done?
Apathy is the worst. Ask yourself if anyone should care about you or your work and make the changes necessary to make an impact.
