We see the best among us every day. The cream rises to the top, not the average stuff.
This will plunge you into a race to be the best and you’ll be dissatisfied with anything less than that.
It sounds like good motivation, but you can’t will your way to being the best. You can only put in the work and let the world decide. You can take a million jump shots and never be Lebron James. Those failures must inform you to change direction (hopefully before the millionth jump shot).
Know your limitations, but push them and try and try and fail and fail and be the best version of you possible.
Don’t let the incredible work of the best among us be what stops you from trying at all.
