I heard this ancient proverb a while ago that went, “The further into the ocean you go, the deeper it gets.”
While the statement is staggeringly obvious at face value, it holds a deeper meaning.
When we begin exploring a topic, learning a new skill, or trying to learn all the latest gossip being spread about us, the further into each topic we go, the deeper and weightier it becomes. I would say there is an element of pressure introduced as well.
So instead of focusing on making sure every little thing is perfect before we jump in, just jump in before it gets too deep and too scary to move at all.
